Nour Khamis in an Ecuadorean-Palestinian artist and animator exploring mixed media through painting, analogue mark-making, and digital compositing. She likes to let the materials talk - smudges and scratches are not mistakes, they’re her North Star. Nour builds intimate, slightly uncanny worlds that feel like déjá vu: familiar, surreal, and strange.
Her graduation film, “How To Build A Sand Castle” is a hand-painted, dream-like, journey of self discovery through body and ocean. It’s currently on its festival journey, being selected in prestigious festivals accross the globe.
